Some tips about general ShowCase operations are shown below.

Moving to Windows 7?

Yes, ShowCase 5 has been tested and works well on Windows 7, both 32 and 64 bit.

Directory list takes a long time to come up - hourglass is up the whole time.

Solution:  You probably have ShowCase looking for images in specific folders on your disk... And those folders have grown large. This can be a very time consuming since ShowCase will read EVERY file in the folder. Let ShowCase finish reading and come up normally and then select the menu option File->Edit List of Folder Directories. Remove any folder directories you are no longer using. If you have not created a DICOM directory file to manage the images you may want to use the File Menu, Create DICOM Directory option to create a directory and move the images into the managed directory.

A message says that the NTDLL.dll is missing and ShowCase does not run.

.

Solution: We have had 2 reports of this message appearing on Windows 2003 Server machines. We are not sure why this happens and it is unlikely that ShowCase is involved. You do need to restore the NTDLL.dll. Here is a link to an article that might help you http://www.articlesbase.com/software-articles/fixing-ntdll-errors-658179.html
